Those abandoned and neglected cats deserve some good luck
Adopt a cat and give them a second chance
Cats are wonderful, friendly, gentle and thoughtful beings. If you can offer an animal a good home please consider adopting a cat from your local reputable animal rescue centre. If you are considering adopting a kitten or a cat please think carefully.
Bringing an animal into your life is a life-long commitment and responsibility you will be taking on. Cats can live up to 20 years, so a decision to adopt one should not be taken lightly.
Sadly, so many people get an animal and decide to stop caring for it and will often hand them into rescue centers, who are already bursting to capacity. By adopting an animal you’re given them a second chance of a happy life.
Cats need our care
Cats need to be cared for and it’s a huge responsibility and one both you and your family can share.
They need regular check-ups to ensure their health and wellbeing is good. Any cause for concern, a change in behaviour should always be checked by a vet. Protecting and maintaining good welfare for your feline is a priority. Ensure they are up to date with their vaccinations to help them be protected against various diseases such as cat flu.
Feeding your animal is an important part of keeping them happy and healthy. Making sure they have access to fresh water at all times vital. As the numbers of unwanted and abandoned animals increase, so do the number of homeless animals desperately needing a home in rescue centres.
