Dairy-free Chocolate Cake
It’s almost the weekend so surely it’s time for a treat? Why not indulge in a tempting dairy-free chocolate cake. We absolutely adore chocolate cake here, so here’s a cute little recipe which only takes a short time to make. Enjoy!
Ingredients
375g plain flour, 375g caster sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons bicarbonate of soda, 45g cocoa powder , 180ml extra virgin olive oil, 2 tablespoons vinegar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract and 500ml cold water.
Cooking
Prepare a cake tin to pour the mixture into.
Place the flour into the bowl (sift), then add in the cocoa, salt & sugar as well as the bicarbonate of soda, mix all these together into the bowl.
Then pour the oil, vinegar and vanilla into the bowl then fold the mixture together. Then pour the mixture into the cake tin and put in the oven to cook.
Bake at 180C/ Gas 4 for 30 to 40 minutes
Ice with your favourite dairy-free chocolate icing, or like me you simply cover the cake with scrumptious chocolate spread like this one:http://tinyurl.com/hycbunt
